Estepona is a town in the region of the Costa del Sol, southern Spain. It is located in the province of Málaga, part of the autonomous community of Andalusia. Estepona is renowned for its beaches, which stretch along some 21 km of coastline. It is a popular resort and holiday destination.

Estepona is is one of the few coastal towns that has succeeded in maintaining its pueblo charm and character, despite the onslaught of tourism. Notwithstanding, all the tourist facilities are here, including hotels, restaurants, leisure and cultural activities, and shops. The numerous street cafes and tapas bars still serve traditional Spanish delicacies and the steep, cobbled, narrow streets seem more suited to horses than cars
. Estepona has a huge array of small local shops offering locally made produce and goods. In the main town centre there are a number of boutiques offering contemporary international clothing brands and other goods

Estepona 25 kilometres west of its glitzy neighbour Marbella and is within an hour's drive of Malaga International Airport. The Sierra Bermeja mountain range, rising to a peak of 1,449 metres, provides a magnificent backdrop to this relatively peaceful resort which is fast becoming a firm favourite with foreign visitors.
