The train station is five minutes walk from the arrivals hall (llegados). Go up one floor to departures (salidas), take any exit and follow the Ferrocarril signs to the right. You can buy a ticket on the train.
Trains run half-hourly to Fuengirola to the west and Malaga to the east. If you are heading for Malaga, get off at the last station, Centro-Alameda, not the previous stop Malaga-Renfe, which is the main train station and is a 25-minute walk from the centre of town.
